These are the steps to work in U.S. with HealthTalent:
1. Complete an Online Contact Form:
This is the first step to work in the United States. Once we receive your information, we will determine if your education and experience qualify you to work as a nurse in the United States. Completing the online form is quick, easy and will only take a few minutes of your time. If you prefer, you may apply on paper or by phone. Start the process today, Contact Us!
2. Meet the Visa Sponsorship Requirements:
Nurses who meet the educational and clinical requirements will be invited to attend an information and interview session that covers all aspects of our U.S. Placement Program. We will provide you with first-hand information on living and working in the U.S., supply answers to your questions and give you the opportunity to meet your local HealthTalent recruitment team. See our Frequently Asked Questions for additional information.
4. Execute an Employment Agreement:
Upon the completion of your information session and a one-on-one interview with a HealthTalent Recruiter, in the event that you are selected, you will need to execute an employment agreement with HealthTalent, to demonstrate your commitment to proceed with HealthTalent as your employer in the U.S.
5. Take the NCLEX Exam:
To work in the U.S., you must pass the NCLEX-RN exam. HealthTalent will help you prepare for this exam by offering study programs, seminars and ongoing personal support. NCLEX exams are given in the U.S. and its territories in addition to London, Saipan and Hong Kong. You will be invited to test at the nearest test center. HealthTalent will pay for your airfare and accommodations, if required. Typically, NCELX trips are 2-4 days in length. Your reward for passing the NCLEX-RN is a full and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
6. Obtain your Visa:
Once you obtain your CGFNS certificate or pass your NCLEX and English Proficiency exam, HealthTalent, as your U.S. employer, will initiate the sponsorship of your Permanent Resident Card (green card). Having a green card will also allow your spouse and any children under the age of 21 to legally live and work in the U.S.
7. Choose a Nursing Job:
We have access to a large number of nursing jobs in the U.S. Whether you want to live on the coast, in the desert, close to the mountains, or in the heart of your favorite city, HealthTalent will make every effort to find exactly the right job-location for you. We will consider your location preference, nursing experience and clinical skills and offer placement suggestions based on your needs and those of our client facilities. 8. Prepare for a New Life in the U.S.:

- General Nursing License in home country
- Minimum 2 Years of Current Bedside Nursing Experience in an Acute Care Hospital by the time you arrive in the USA.
- Combination of the following exams:
(1) CGFNS Certification Exam (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) -or- the NCLEX
AND
(2) One of the following English Exams, if you are NOT from a country that is exempt from taking the exam:
a) IELTS Exam (International English Language Testing System) -or-
b) TOEFL Exam (Test of English as a Foreign Language) AND TSE (Test of Spoken English)
[Test Results Required - Language: English-Good Other: IELTS (6.5 overall, 7 in spa) or TOEFL/TSE]
